Hi! It’s been quite the while since I’ve blogged hear and I can’t imagine why– WELL, we’ve been pumping out monthly magazine issues for three years and keeping up with the blog has been… put on the back burner. To say the least.

But NOW, I want to take a few quick minutes to update you on a few changes that are going to be effective immediately. Hold on to your hair! This is going to be a lot of info in a short amount of time. Mostly because I want to make sure you read all of it.

We started Stellar Day Magazine, born out of a passion to encourage women. It was thrusted into a full blown magazine on a whim, considering that when we started, our initial hope was for it to be a newsletter that we emailed out each month. With no regrets, we saw the need for this piece of encouragement as our reads and ratings soared- even within the first month! It was wildly fun, a huge blessing and something we just moved forward with even though we had originally had no thought to start an online publication.

So here we are almost three years later and still creating content for our readers. But within the last year, our Leadership Team has also shifted and changed. Our desires for this space has evolved and we have decided to take Stellar Day into a new direction.

I can tell you that our Leadership Team is tired and that these changes will be a gift to them. A hard part about being a leader is knowing what is best for everyone involved, even if it looks different than you might have thought or pictured.

So we have decided to, immediately, push the PAUSE button on creating new issues. I say pause, because ending Stellar Day altogether didn’t feel right to any of us. Wiping away and letting go of this community just didn’t settle with us and so after a couple of months of covering it in prayer, we have decided to continue accepting submissions and to publishing them twice a week or so, here on the Stellar Day blog!

Our goal is, and always has been, to make YOUR day a little more stellar with our content. We want to dive into the big stuff but also celebrate the small overlooked victories of our daily lives together! And that’s a piece that we have felt like we’ve strayed away from. Using the blog will allow us to continue to encourage without the pressure of design. It will allow us to breathe a little bit and to continue writing.

We have so much to offer. And we still have so much to say!

It’s our hope and prayer that you will continue to support us, to follow us and to read from the amazing Leadership team that we have here.

It’s our deepest desire to continue making every day stellar! And while it’s going to look different for a season, our words and hearts will remain the same. All of the issues that we have created and published will all remain up! We’d love for you to read any time. And hang in there with us- there may come a time that we will feel ready to publish again and when we do- we can’t do it without you!

Thank YOU for reading this far. You are the reason we do this every day, our WHY to continuing to #MakeEveryDayStellar and the journey will continue from here!

About The Author

I’m the owner and editor of Stellar Day Blog! I started blogging back in 2009 right after I had my first son and I often say that blogging saved my life. I didn’t realize I had so much I wanted and needed to say, and blogging gave me a creative outlet to do it. It turned from figuring out how to be a mom into wanting to encourage and inspire others in a lot of avenues that inspire ME daily. I love Jesus, people, coffee, starting businesses and encouraging others to succeed. I’m the owner and CEO of Jay & Jess Photography, which I own with my husband. We live in Scottsdale, AZ and don’t plan to leave anytime soon UNLESS we have the chance to move to the mountains. Just kidding. Not really. Sort of. I love to travel, get coffee with friends, take rad photos and build relationships with our clients. After all is said and done, it’s my goal with this blog to lift your spirits a little, and for you to leave a little happier than when you came. Because everyone knows that we could all use a little more happy in our days. I’m just a girl who’s inspired by life, people, details, words, art, love and who seeks any opportunity possible to spark a little inspiration into others. So I hope you find just that!
